Brylee – Camera Shy

We all have days when we don’t feel our best. Little Brylee was having one of those days today for our portrait session. A little tired, coupled with a late afternoon session made for a few tears and holding on to mom. Between the “moments” we were able to capture a few cute shots.

It's finally over

Finally,  a well-deserved snack for all the hard work. While we don’t always get the best smiles every time, it’s always a blessing to spend time with these little ones and their families.

Carlyss Law Enforcement Center Grand Opening

The Carlyss Law Enforcement Center had its Grand Opening today. Many were in attendance and there were vehicles and equipment on display. I also had the opportunity to see one of our deputy’s 1 week old daughter. Congratulations.

 

Madisyn – What a cutie!

Yesterday’s portrait session with little Madisyn was a dream. I have never seen a more happy, alert, baby. She was all smiles the whole time and going with the flow. I believe Mom will have a hard time narrowing down the choices of great pictures to hang on the wall.

Gumbo and fellowship with friends

Last night after the Christmas Parade a number of us gathered at one of our church members’ home and enjoyed gumbo and good times around the table. I really enjoy the Christmas season as it gets colder here in South Louisiana and we are able to come into a warm home and enjoy a festive time. Visiting with us was a family from Mississippi and I took a few shots of the children while they were playing as well as when they began to get little tired.

A fun day at the Parade

We had a great time this afternoon at the Lake Charles Christmas Parade. Quite a few friends were there with us and there was plenty of candy and beads to go around. There were colorful sights and a number of different styles of music to be heard. Naturally, I had camera in hand to record some of the sights. The sounds…I’ll just have to leave that up to your imagination.
